We get it, camp costs money and finances are sometimes limited.  Families have to set priorities for how they spend their money.  This is why we have a campership fund.
Our application process is designed to be simple and discrete.  We require one personal reference.  This should be someone over the age 18 and not someone living in your household, who has an understanding of your financial situation.  The vast majority of our campership requests are for partial assistance, so be prepared to ask for the amount you will need in the application.
