Camp Luz Photo Contest

We want to see the best photos you take this year here at Camp Luz.

Photo Categories:

  • Nature: photos in this catagory should focus on wildlife, plantlife, weather, and landscape
  • Worship: photos in this catagory should focus on people (individual or collective) engaging in worship to our Lord
  • People: photos in this category should be of people interacting with one another
  • Recreation: Photos in this category should show people engaging in some form of recreation

Prizes:*

Grand Prize: Coupon for 1 free week of summer camp
First place in each category: Coupon for 1 free Camp Luz sponsored weekend retreat
Second place in each category: $20 Camp Luz credit (good toward murchandise, reatreat or summer camp payment)
Third place in each category: $10 Camp Luz Credit

Judging:

All photos will be judged in the category in which they were submitted. Camp Luz year-round staff will narrow each category down to 5 photos. Year-round staff cannot submit photos. Additional help may or may not be enlisted by professional photographers.

Final judging will be done at the 2008 annual meeting by the OMCA membership. (so become a member and be sure to attend)

Requriements for all Photos:

  • Photos must be submitted by the person who took the photo
  • Photos must have been taken within one (1) year of the photo contest deadline (September 1, 2008)
  • Photos must be submitted to the camp by september 1, 2008.
    • Requirements for submitting photos**
      • Photos must be submitted as a high resolution digital copy or 8x10 inch hard copy (digital is prefered, and both would be nice)
      • All photos must be submitted for a specific category (Nature, Worship, People, Recreation) and will only be judged in that category.
      • All photos must be submitted with contact information for the photographer. (phone #, e-mail, mailing address

* Camp Luz reserves the right to substitute prizes, if needed, at the discretion of the Camp.

**All photos become the property of Camp Luz once submitted. Camp Luz has the right to reproduce, edit, and use the photograph as it sees fit.
